位於俄羅斯西伯利亞聯邦管區的一個邊疆區
位於西西伯利亞南部與哈薩克斯坦接壤
阿爾泰邊疆區也幾乎分布有俄羅斯所有的自然區：乾草原、森林草原、北方針葉林和山地
